At Sandmyfloors.co.uk we specialise in the sanding and renovation of existing wooden floors. We have been sanding floors locally since 1999. With over 1000 jobs completed since our start we regard ourselves as experts in the floor sanding field. All our free quotations are 100% no obligation and we will run through the whole process of what works we will be carrying out to your floor prior to starting the job so I can provide you with an accurate final price for the job. 

 We only use the best materials and equipment for our work. Many companies claim to be 'dust free' but i can assure you this is not true. The machines of today have a very high dust extraction capacity that I would put as 98% dust free, you will find surface dust at the end of the job. We make every effort to clean all the dust prior to finishing the job but once we have left it can still settle a little for the next few days but it is very minimal. 

The machines I use are supplied by 'Bona' they are basically the number 1 choice for all professional floor sanders using a continuous belt system to prevent things like barrel marks in the flooring which some cheaper machines do. The materials like the varnish, filler etc are all recognised products as they provide a far better longer lasting finish than cheaper alternatives. 

We can provide many options for your floor to suit your needs, maybe you want a more managable oil finish to your floor over a varnish? Maybe you would like your floorboards gaps filled as standard or with slivers for an even better look to the floor? Maybe you would like the boards white washed or stained? There are many options in regard to your floor all of which will be discussed upon quoting. 

Your work will be carried out by myself so I can assure you its personal when I'm doing the job, my business is built on reputation so its essential to me that the job is done right. If however I have to send another sander to complete your job I can also assure you that I've personally chosen them to do the job as they work to the same standard as me.

We can cater your request to suit your needs and have a minimum charge or £300. You will be given a formal quote over the phone followed by a written quote and a final invoice should you accept my quote for me to do the job. I like to work to agreed dates as much as possible but understand sometimes days need to be moved slightly for other builders etc to finish off, as much notice as possible please so I can arrange my jobs. Also during the sanding process the 'edger' machine can leave marks on skirtings so I always recommend that they get painted last once the floor works are complete, we can also provide this service if needed. 

With the filled floor service I must add that the filler is not guaranteed due to the nature of wood with the possibility over time of possibly working its way out, We do suggest with pine floors paying for the sliver service which is a longer process but gives far more smaller gaps to fill with a better finish with a far less chance of filler dropping out. Generally with oak floors and similar its not likely to ever fall out due to the minimal gaps in them types of floor. The filler is a very strong smelling solvent but once sanded the smell dies down quite quickly. I have a resposibility to inform you of this process just so its clear for you to understand. 

We can stain your floors to a colour of your choice from samples I can provide, again only using the best products available. We also can supply and fit laminates and real wood floors and are happy to fit your own if you so wish.
